Sam has a doctorate in sociology and psychology and, for many years was a senior lecturer and associate professor at universities in the UK, New Zealand and the US. He has published on psychotherapy, self-development and intercultural dialogue. He is an autogenic therapist, stress management counsellor, university lecturer and writer and currently teaches at the Open University.

He has many years experience teaching and guiding students and clients, and is keenly interested in the processes of healing and personal growth. In his private practice, Sam has a multi-disciplinary approach that aims to restore the wholeness of mind and body by encouraging each client to engage in their own process of change in a safe and supportive setting.

Having discovered the benefits of Autogenic Therapy for his own well-being, Sam was very impressed by the power of this simple technique to restore health and emotional balance. He trained as an autogenic therapist and is passionate about teaching this self-help technique.

"My aim is to help my clients help themselves to improve their health and well-being and gain insight for personal growth and development. The power of Autogenic Therapy is that it opens the way for people to access their own innate self-healing processes and feel empowered to take charge of their lives."

Sam runs Autogenic Therapy courses for individuals and small groups in private practice, in various health centres and business premises. All courses are tailored to the needs of the individual.
